About the Lynne Hertel Merrill and Lan Merrill Team

Honesty, integrity and a strong work-ethic are key to our approach for real estate. We have lived in the Conejo Valley for over 26 years and raised our kids here. Prior to moving to Thousand Oaks, we lived in Santa Barbara for 10 years. Lynne's mother was a highly respected and award-winning realtor in Ventura County who cared for her clients like family. We work hard to continue her legacy of exceptional personal service. We want to make your experience quick, hassle free and net more money in your pocket.

Lynne was born and raised in Ventura County and still farms lemons and avocados in the Santa Paula area. She graduated from UC Davis with a degree in Economics and has worked as a financial planner and architectural designer. Lynne and Lan's family have owned beach properties along the Pacific Coast Highway since the 1960's, so we know our West Coast beach properties and their quirks like only local owners can. Lynne and Lan have three children, two Eagle Scouts, one Girl Scout Gold Award recipient, two are NCAA collegiate athletes and all three are college graduates.

Lan graduated from San Diego State with a BS in Television and Film. He has worked in broadcast television for over 35 years with stints at KEYT-TV in Santa Barbara as a producer/director, assistant News Director at KCOP-TV in Los Angeles and Director of Operations at ABC7, also in LA. Lan oversaw television news, engineering and lighting projects in Europe, Asia and Canada. He has also been a production manager on the Academy Awards for many years. On the business side, Lan has held VP of Engineering, Sales and Marketing positions for international broadcast equipment manufacturers.

To better serve our real estate clients, Lynne is a certified Coldwell Banker Global Luxury Property Specialist, and for our age 50+ clients, she is also a Seniors Real Estate Specialist. Lan holds an ePro certification for all things digital and is also a Smart Home Residential Specialist to help our clients navigate the exciting new world of home automation.

Our real estate team combines Lynne's financial and architectural background with Lan's business, marketing, and technology skill sets. With these qualities and experience to offer our clients, we are excited to help others realize their dreams of finding the right properties in the right areas, like we have here in the Ventura and Santa Barbara counties for the past 39 years!
